Project Description
The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) sought a Commercial Off-The Shelf (COTS) product and customization for the Website for Work program to support the Reentry and Integration Division (RID). Webhead developed and deployed a WordPress website with a custom ASP.Net application called Website for Work. The site enables visitors to the website to learn about and request to participate in a program to match potential employers with parolees based on education, vocational training, and work experience. The back-end web application securely allows RID employees to view and capture information about Offenders and potential employers that will support the goal of assisting parolees in obtaining employment.
The custom solution provides Employers the opportunity to register and search the program for potential hires. The data for potential employees are securely pulled from TDCJ RID databases from a nightly feed. Our team designed and developed the scripts and SFTP solution that securely pulls the data from secure TDCJ environments. RID Management Staff have an Administrator Section that provides them the ability to Manage Employers, Match Employers to Parolees, Track Progress on Matches and Pull Reports. The Admin area works as a very focused CRM.
